DENVER/February 13, 2020 – Morris Animal Foundation, a leader in advancing animal health, is proud to announce it received three 2019 Vega Digital Awards. The awards recognize the inspiring achievements of digital media companies, and the creative professionals who are the lifeblood of the global marketing communications industry.

The Foundation won one Centauri award for its new website. The site is mobile-optimized, runs on an open source platform (Drupal), is colorful and builds on the Foundation’s new branding. Since its launch, overall traffic to the website has increased 72%, allowing a larger audience to learn about the Foundation’s work as well as learn more on topical issues in animal health.
The Foundation won a second Centauri award and an Arcturus award for its two, newly designed newsletters, AnimalNEWS Tips & Tails and Fresh Scoop, respectively. Both are mobile-optimized and feature vibrant colors and animal imagery. AnimalNEWS Tips & Tails is for donors and supporters to get up-to-date research findings, healthy animal tips and giving opportunities. Fresh Scoop is for “veterinarians & other smart people” to learn about Foundation-funded research findings.
The Vega Digital Awards are an international competition that serves as a platform to celebrate and honor leading professionals in the creative fields of digital media. The competitors are juried by the International Awards Associate’s select panel of industry-leading creative giants, under comprehensive and strict standards. This year's Vega Digital Awards had over 450 categories listed in both professional and student levels, garnering 1,550 entries from 35 countries.
