Dr. Collins is a PH.D. student at the National Zoological Park's Conservation & Research Center (Smithsonian Institution) and the University of Maryland. She received her veterinary degree at University College in Dublin, Ireland, and completed a residency in equine theriogenology at the University of California-Davis. She is a diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists.
